Until his recent retirement Michael Elsmere taught English Language and Literature in a wide variety of educational establishments around the world and the UK.

He now lives with his partner Lucie in South Devon, England.

In between writing novels, short stories and screenplays he leads writing courses, sails, gardens and teaches yoga.
