The White Dog of Gwydion

The White dog of Gwydion is set in the near future in a Southern England that has been overwhelmed by political chaos, global warming and a shortage of oil. Bede and Abi are two teenagers who with their stray dog Fang are caught up in this turmoil. Together they battle pirates on a stormy voyage down the English Channel and fight a duel of wits with the tigerish pirate moll Lucretia and the forces of the Triune who are determined to take over the state. During their escape through Dorset they meet the magician Gwydion who sends them to the legendary lake isle of Avalon where they are offered shelter only to be betrayed. During a desperate journey westwards the small group are ambushed and forced to trek across the desolate wilderness of Dartmoor to find Abi’s uncle Ranjiit an eccentric inventor. With his aid they are finally able to confront their dangerous foes and through a twist in time an ancient promise is made good.
