Michael is presently engaged in writing his third children’s story as yet untitled.  It is set in a much changed Southern England in the near future at a time when Britain has descended into chaos because of the twin effects of a huge oil crisis and the unexpectedly high impact of global warming on the weather. The main characters have to overcome many dangers and obstacles to find their loved ones who are in mortal danger. Set against the teenager hero and heroine is the lawless and wild terrain, the forces of nature and a wild assortment of pirates, ruffians and malevolent characters prepared to be utterly ruthless in order to retain power.
